Soon enough I’ll produce an endless stream of photographs of the great Western landscape, but first a few shots of the human touch. Mixed into the sublime panoramas I found artificial cactus stuck in the desert floor, the everglow of Las Vegas and grimey footprints on a parking garage ceiling there, a multinational bank across the street from a factory farm in the middle of the desert, fellow travelers wandering aimlessly, powerplants and long abandoned construction projects, and well intentioned efforts to at last harness the energy of the relentless sun. So enjoy for now, and stay tuned for images of natural splendor next week.
